The Enchanté Network
The Enchanté Network’s 2022–2023 Annual Report captures a year of renewed growth, unity, and sector-wide advocacy. Representing over 230 member organizations, the Network advanced national initiatives such as the 2SLGBTQI+ Endowment Fund, Back to Our Roots, and Fund the Rainbow—cementing its role as Canada’s largest network for 2SLGBTQI+ organizations.

The 2022–2023 Annual Report highlights a transformative year for The Enchanté Network, as it continued to build momentum across Canada’s 2SLGBTQI+ sector. With over 230 member organizations from every province and territory, this year marked significant expansion in national advocacy, sector strengthening, and collective action.
Key Highlights
Expanding the National Network
Membership grew to more than 230 organizations, solidifying the Enchanté Network as the largest 2SLGBTQI+ network in Canada.
Facilitated 47 events and served 400+ individuals through programs that strengthened organizational capacity and collaboration.
Building Capacity & Leadership
The Mentorship Program connected 2SLGBTQI+ leaders across the country, while the Capacity Building Program trained hundreds in governance, fundraising, and anti-oppression.
Launched new workshops, including Financial Management of a 2SLGBTQI+ Organization and Indigenizing an Organization’s Structure, providing trauma-informed and reconciliation-based approaches to leadership.
Strengthening Connection & Belonging
The Shared Connections Program saw an 86% increase in participation, engaging 168 individuals across member organizations.
Continued to provide multilingual and intersectional networking spaces for Francophone, QTBIPOC, and 2 Spirit communities.
Advocacy & Systems Change
Published 7 Calls to Action to support intersex communities in Canada.
Advanced the Resourcing 2SLGBTQI+ Communities Initiative, which included work on the Employment Equity Act Review, advocating for the inclusion of 2SLGBTQI+ people as a protected group.
Launched Back to Our Roots, a national engagement project amplifying Black 2SLGBTQI+ leadership and building towards Canada’s first Black 2SLGBTQI+ organization.
Groundbreaking Projects
Initiated the National 2SLGBTQI+ Endowment Fund to provide long-term, sustainable funding for 2SLGBTQI+ organizations.
Delivered Building Bridges: Anti-Racism, Indigenization, and Faith in the 2SLGBTQI+ Community in partnership with Egale Canada.
Continued the SAFER Project, offering national tools to address gender-based violence against 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.
Strategic Plan Implementation (2022–2025)
Advanced the Network’s four strategic directions: Building Capacity, Strengthening the Network, Advocating Alongside Members, and Investing in the Organization.
